Mississippi Golf Course in Top 125

Fallen Oaks, which spent another successful week hosting the legends of the game at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic on the Champions Tour, won another award when readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine chose View Ridge Resort & Casino as one of the top 125 golf resorts in 2011.

The honor is the second in a series of respected travel publications released through the annual Reader's Choice Survey of nearly 26,000 online respondents. The reader respondents rated the courses and resorts from "excellent" to "excellent" based on eight criteria: course design and access, golf staff and service, guest rooms, service, food and meals, location, overall design and activity, and facilities.

In terms of geographic ranking, Borges ranked ninth among 20 resorts in the U.S. South with an overall average score of 86.0, up one ½ point from what was initially evaluated in the 2010 survey. Borges scored more than 90 points and 92.5 points for both Course Design & Access and Golf Staff & Services. Both of these are two points better than in 2010.

"Properties on the next page marry great golf with great golf and fantastic accommodation, meals, and service. For diehard or casual golfers, it's a game made in heaven," the article can be found in the April issue.

The latest award follows the second win by the organiser of the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic, Fallen Oak, which impressed many of the game's legends on its debut in 2010 for its design, challenge and playability, as well as Golfweek's selection of Fallen Oak as No. 45 on its 2011 "Top 100 Contemporary Courses" list and the third consecutive year of Fallen Oak being the No. 1 course to play in Mississippi.

"Our goal with Fallen Oak was to create a complete and complete golf and resort experience for our guests," said George P. Corchis Jr., president and chief operating officer of MGM Resorts International.

"Getting this recognition from Condé Nast Traveler is very important because readers of this magazine are among the most sophisticated and passionate travelers in the world."

Borges is the only Mississippi resort on the list of 125 resorts, the magazine's 15th annual list of elite golf resorts in the United States and internationally.

This is ahead of PGA Tour hosts such as the Seas Island Golf Club (13th) in St. Simons Island, Georgia, and the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas (15th) in Las Colinas outside Dallas

"To build a great golf course, you have to be visually attractive and a little intimidating, but at the same time you have to play very fairly," said Paul Azinger, a Champions Tour player and 2008 U.S. Ryder Cup captain. "Fazio made it in Fallen Oak."

Readers of Condé Nast Traveler and Champions Tour pros alike recognized the elements that made Fallen Oaks special. Joining Shadow Creek, heralded as the only golf course built by MGM Resorts International for its guests, Fallen Oaks is located on a 510-acre track on the edge of the DeSoto National Forest. 에볼루션 바카라사이트

Extending from the back tee to a generous 7,487 yards, Fallen Oak provides golfers with five sets of tees and strategic play options for each hole wound through its ever-changing terrain and environment.
